With a background in business and marketing, Sidney has dove into the advertising world head first. She has won several awards for her work, and has been recognized by leading professionals in the advertising field. She continues to develop her skills and knowledge of the changing advertising trends and keeps and pulse on the zeitgeist of the world around her, 

Sidney St. Germain is an advertising creative professional working towards her MFA in Advertising from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

always looking to learn, travel, and create 

who are you? 

I’m a creative, a passionate reader, and an adventurous traveler. As the eldest daughter in my family, I’ve been shaped by a lineage of entrepreneurs, and I bring that entrepreneurial spirit to everything I do.

On weekends, you can find me discovering new restaurants, eager to explore and savor fresh experiences. I embrace the unknown and am always up for trying something new.

what do you do? 

I’m currently carving out my space in the advertising industry and have shown interest in several positions, including the following:

copywriter
art director
brand developer
strategist
project manager

I begin my creative brief by thoroughly researching the brand. I explore every facet, including competitors, recent news articles, consumer engagement, opinion pieces, and more.

how do you do it?

From my research, I am able to discover one insight that is true to both the brand and the consumer. I use this to build my strategy on how to position the brand and develop my concept. 

Once I have a solid concept, I begin developing my advertisement. I collaborate with my peers at every stage to ensure I stay aligned with the original insight I aim to communicate.
